Glencoe & Isle of Skye
4.10. - 11.10. 2026
Bring home beautiful photographs and experiences from a land truly promised to landscape photographers.
My most popular expedition combines 2 fantastic regions of Scotland - the Highlands and the Isle of Skye - during the autumn, when there are minimal tourists in both areas and spring is just around the corner. We can expect changeable weather, dramatic light, and days full of shooting together. If you want to advance your landscape photography, spend a week shooting in the company of similarly passionate photographers, or work on your technique with the support of an instructor, don't miss this trip. Thanks to the support of the Czech representation of Sony and the specialist in photographic filters Haida, we will also have the opportunity to try out Sony equipment and Haida system filters.
The aim of each expedition is for participants to bring home the best possible photographs, improve their photographic skills on location - primarily composition, working with light and other technical aspects. Together, we will adapt the program to this, and I will be available to the participants at all locations as they need.

Scottish Highlands & Glencoe
Gorgeous. Dramatic. Atmospheric.
Glencoe is a true gem for landscape photography and undoubtedly one of the best Scottish locations. At the turn of February and March, the sun remains relatively low on the horizon, so shooting in soft, warm light is possible throughout the day.
Frequent and dramatic weather changes lead to truly magical scenes, and a several-day stay gives us the opportunity to explore this area in depth. We will have time to visit a number of amazing locations, such as:
- Rannoch Moor with its various islands on the lakes Loch Ba and Lochan na h-Achlaise
- Buachaille Etive Mòr and the Three Sisters in Glencoe
- Glen Etive with its waterfalls and lochans
- Loch Achtriochtan and its amazing reflections
- Loch Awe and Kilchurn Castle
- Stalker Castle
After sunset or in bad weather, we can spend some time processing images to maximize their potential.
Our itinerary will be completely open so that we can adapt to the prevailing weather during the trip, with safety always being our priority.
Each morning we will go through the plan of places for the day and adapt it to the current conditions to maximize shooting opportunities and at the same time stay safe.

Isle of Skye
The Scottish Isle of Skye is an ideal location for a landscape photography workshop, offering some of the most dramatic scenery in Great Britain. Connected to mainland Britain by a road bridge, the island measures just fifty miles long and twenty-five miles wide, with a population of only 10,000. It is the fourth largest island in the United Kingdom after mainland Britain, Ireland, and the islands of Harris and Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.
Everywhere you turn, another vista awaits, compelling you to reach for your camera. Among the great photographic locations are the iconic and instantly recognizable, over 700m high, Old Man of Storr, and the incredibly impressive Jurassic landslides of Quiraing and Trotternish, located a little further north on the island.

"Dane, I also join in thanking you for a fabulously planned, organized, and above all, wonderfully led event. Thank you for the advice regarding both the technical aspects and, above all, the composition. I have much to think about and my head is full of experiences. Thanks to the group for the great atmosphere, I felt excellent and had a great time. You are all very inspiring, but above all, great people. I would gladly go with such a group again in the future. I will be following you. Have a safe trip home."

"Dane, thanks again for the super workshop, it was great, the location, the time of year, the light. Well organized, great accommodation. When you organize another Scotland somewhere else, or the UK, I'm in. Take care, and good luck."
